2/28/2010 - Brian has been working all winter to build our new barn.  The metal for the roof and the last of the trusses came today. Monday or Tuesday  Chet from the local sawmill should be out to pick up our logs into siding for the barn.  Brian was looking out the window today at the barn and remarked that when it is done it will look like a country church - the "Hog Woller Country Gospel Church" maybe. If things get tight maybe we can rent it out to a church that needs a home... we'll throw in the sheep for background for free. LOL 

 

Seriously, when the barn is all sided I am going to add a sign cut out in the silhouette of a Red Wattle hog to the end of the gable. I'm going to paint "Red Wattle Inn B & B" on the sign. Then inside the section that will house our sows will have a sign that says "Maternity Ward". And each sow's name will be on her stall.

 

Across the isle will be stalls for Bonnie and Clyde, our halflingers and a stall for Hazel our milk cow and one for her calf. 

This is going to be the barn of my dreams. :<)
